It was almost certain that it wouldn’t be long before Lions Sports Academy continued their long-established run of holding rugby camps at Alton Rugby Club. Having held a number of camps previously at Alton, as well as a successful February half term camp in which there were over 20 children attending, Lions Sports Academy have decided to run another camp during the Easter holidays for everyone associated with Alton & their friends.

The camp will be returning on 8th - 9th April & follows a similar pattern to the other camps held at Alton in that it will be open to everyone from 6 to 12 years old. It will run from 9am - 4pm over both days & is £42 for the day or £80 for 2 days.

Lions will look to continue their tradition of providing everyone at Alton RFC with not only the chance to play some rugby during the holidays, but more importantly they look to reward their attendees with the opportunity to develop their core skills, build their confidence & allow them to make new friends from other clubs.

Speaking about the upcoming camp at Alton, Joe Garner (Lions Relationship Manager) said “We are really excited & pleased to be hosting another camp this Easter at Alton RFC. Alton RFC is a great club with very supportive members & we are always very happy when we are able to work closely with them. It is a fantastic venue for minis rugby, with lots of open space for the kids to practice & run around a lot. This showed during our February camp here when the kids were not afraid to get stuck in despite the wet & windy conditions we experienced during the first day of the camp. It is also the relationship that the kids have with our coaches here that makes us want to continue our partnership with Alton RFC, as they are always very well behaved & respectful when being coached which makes the camp far more enjoyable for all parties.”
