Calling Notice Special General Meeting

It has been proposed to the Executive Committee that we move the date of the AGM to September.

We usually hold our AGM in July and by then many members minds have moved on from rugby especially at the Age Grade Level where summer sports have taken over.

Moving to September means we will be hosting the AGM whilst the season is live which in turn should generate more interest and participation from across the membership group. Moving to September will also allow us to focus on the upcoming season as well as looking back at last season.

“Seems sensible, so why the Special General Meeting?”

In order to change the date of the AGM we need to amend our club rules. This can only be done through approval by a quorum of members at a General Meeting.

We propose to host a Special General Meeting just before the Executive Meeting later this month.

The bar will be open so please come along, have a drink and help us make this change to the way we run the club. Members are welcome to stay for the Executive Committee Meeting which will start at 7.30.
