This week ended with a huge fund raiser for the Colts from across the Club via a highly successful Rugby / Sports Quiz Night attended by members of just about every section - from the ‘Old Fossils’ to Ladies to Senior Men’s & onward to ‘Bright Young Things’ (and everything in between). The night is already thought to have raised over £800 in support of the Colts’ forthcoming Dusseldorf Tour & some contributions are still coming in.

That is an incredible sum & just shows what ARFC can achieve as One Club working together. Many, many people put in a huge amount of time & effort to make it happen & our sincere thanks go to all of them. Special mention must go to: Alan Brown (Quiz Master extraordinary!); Tom Mills (for keeping the show on the road); Rob Napier & Esther for giving up their time (freely & willingly); Estelle ditto (& for so kindly lightening the weight of members’ wallets to make a further significant donation to the Colts last weekend); Nigel Youell (particularly for surviving wife’s chilli-confidence crises!!) and - last but not least - to the Colts who did such a brilliant job helping on the night. We could go on & on but will simply finish by saying thank you to all those not mentioned who attended on the night (including guests from AHC & from AODS), led tables, donated prizes or cash & did all the ‘donkey’ work to make it happen. It was a night to be proud of.
