The perfect man for the job

Many of you who support our Senior Men’s team will already know Michael ‘Robbo’ Robson as a playing member at ARFC for 3 years now. In his fourth season at the Club, Robbo has also stepped up to become our Lead First Aider. Fantastic news!
Robbo’s highly demanding ‘day job’ is as a Royal Air Force Medic and, for the past two seasons (since completing the RFU’s Immediate Care in Sport Level 2 course) he has also provided Pitch side cover to our Senior teams. We felt that all this great experience made Robbo the ‘perfect man’ for our Lead First Aider role. And we’re all delighted that he has agreed!
This new role will require Robbo to ensure there is a slick process in place for all first aiding matters in and around the Club. He will be monitoring all our first aiders, from across all age groups, to ensure that their competency does not expire. He will also ensure the First Aid kits are stocked and plentiful, especially for those age groups that are often split across two locations on the same day. Robbo plans, very shortly, to have in place a simple and effective replenishment process so that no such kit ever falls short of its requirement.
Robbo will be at the Club on as many Sunday mornings as possible (and well as his usual Saturdays) to ensure he gets to know as many of you as possible. Please do take the time to say ‘hello’ or to ask any questions you may have. You can also get in touch with him with queries or whatever via: first.aid.co-ordinator@altonrfc.club
Robbo’s priority is to ensure that every age group has enough First Aiders and, to that end, if you are currently trained or would like to be trained, then please do notify Robbo asap - again via: first.aid.co-ordinator@altonrfc.club.
