The U9's took a squad of 10 players to the Guildfordians festival on Sunday, on what was a bright sunny Autumn morning, and turned out to be a tough introduction to full contact rugby against some strong sides.
The first game against Sevenoaks brought home the required step up in intensity, on much bigger pitches, with the opponents running out winners. A tit for tat game against Dorking was followed by a win against Old Reigatians. The team ended the day with a strong performance against London Irish, the team not rewarded for their performance shown on the field.
All the players can be extremely proud of their enthusiastic performances, all fully committed throughout their time on the pitch and all fully enjoying the day. Special mentions to James Greenman making his debut in Alton's colours, and to Oscar Thirlwall for the Team Player of the day trophy.
Well done boys, keep up the good work!
