Again, another close fought encounter with Trojans. Alton came out of the blocks at pace scoring a great squad try in the first half, leading to a half time lead of 8-7, after the Alton try and penalty by Harry Cann. Harry's high quality performance had nothing to do with the attendance of a certain young lady on the touch line, I've been assured by the squad. The second half saw Alton again front up and play with intensity and passion. A couple of lapses in concentration resulted in two tries by Trojans and a final score of 8-21. Alton re-grouped and scored again through some forward dominance. 13-21. Alton continued to pressure the Trojans line to no avail, with Trojans tackling for their lives. Another game that could have gone either way again just slipped away.
