"As partners we can assist each other in growing our positive impact in the area"

Both the Club and Brendoncare are proud of the work they do within the Alton community and recognise the contribution each other is making, by teaming up they hope that they can assist each other in growing their positive impact in the area.
Lian Beadell of Brendon Care Alton commented ‘We have noticed the recent success of the Club and are delighted to be part of this going forward. We hope to make the Clubs members and supporters aware of what we do for our residents but also for the community as a whole, we believe strongly in the shared values between the Club and our Foundation’
Rupert Vitoria Sponsorship Secretary at Alton RFC went on to say ‘It was clear from the first discussion that we both had the local community at the centre of what we do respectively and we are sure that by joining forces we can help each other further. We certainly hope to see Brendoncare staff and residents at Club events and cheering on the team on Saturdays throughout the season, and we will be working closely with them on initiatives where the Club can help give something back to another section of our shared community.’
The Brendoncare Foundation is a registered charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people through 10 care homes and over 90 friendship and wellbeing clubs.
Set in landscaped gardens, the Alton home has provided residential nursing care for 80 people, as well as care for people living with dementia since 1997. A close care complex adjoins the home providing the independence and security of home ownership, together with access to many caring and communal facilities, giving peace of mind.

The home, rated good in all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), is run by Lynne Hewitt, a highly qualified and experienced manager. She is supported by two deputy managers, both of whom are qualified nurses and have broad experience in both clinical and dementia care. Lynne and the team work closely together to provide residents with person-centred care that promotes privacy and dignity with an understanding of each resident’s needs and preferences.
Each of the home’s households has a spacious, welcoming sitting and dining room and a small kitchen for residents and visitors use. All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities, a TV point, private telephone line and a 24-hour a day nurse call system.
Other amenities in the home include a hairdressing salon, a shop and extensive gardens. There is also a full activities programme which encourages residents to revisit old hobbies or take up new ones and the friendly team of staff and volunteers regularly take residents out for day trips.

Visitors are always welcome to look around the home. Please call Lian Beadell on 01420 593704 to arrange a visit
