What a fantastic afternoon at Anstey Park. Brilliant sunshine and ten ladies turning up to give rugby a go. Many had never even picked up a ball before and were understandably nervous! Clare Rees (48) had been standing on the touch line watching her sons for 8 years said "I was really nervous about going on my own. I didn't need to be, I was made so welcome and before I knew it I was laughing my head off with my arms wrapped around somebody's legs doing tackle practice! I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone!" Clare now looks forward to a bit of practice with her boys. She and several other ladies plan to join us on a Tuesday evening at our sessions 7-8pm for touch and 8pm onwards for contact.
Anyone else wish they had come? You still can on any Tuesday. Go on follow Clare's example!
Thanks to Esther, Judy and the others who were there to provide such an epic afternoon tea.
