Not since the former England captain Jonny Wilkinson lead the England team out at Twickenham has this honour fallen to an Alton player, until Sunday that is. Current under 6 player Tom Fletcher was lucky enough to walk out alongside Owen Farrell on Sunday as an England Mascot for Le Crunch. What an experience and what memories for Tom, who knows, if he continues to play as well as coach ‘K’ tells us he could be on the other side of this picture in years to come, the socks will probably still fit him! Proud Mum Nikki told us “It was amazing. Tom absolutely loved it all. He was so well looked after that he wasn’t even phased by 82,000 people” Patricia Mowbray from the RFU who looked after Tom on the day commented “It was a pleasure and he is a really lovely boy, Faz was happy to have him as mascot”.
