Alton RFC has enjoyed a long standing affiliation with London Irish for many years, however since their unfortunate departure from the English rugby scene, we've been a club without an affiliation with any of the remaining Premiership sides. Adding to this, the recent news about the closure of the London & South Central Academy next season has led us to begin the process of finding a new club to affiliate with.

We therefore would like to announce that we've started the process, with the support of Hampshire RFU, for affiliating with our next closest premiership side, Harlequins. Once the process is complete, we'll be one of the rugby clubs on their Community Club Affiliation Programme, more details of which can be found here: https://www.quins.co.uk/community-club

The decision to work with Harlequins on our new affiliation seemed a logical one, given our proximity to their training base and stadium, but also because we've had some fantastic players from the Alton RFC alumni join Harlequins & the Harlequins academies in recent years, such as Oscar Beard, Ellie Roberts, Sasha Roberts and Alice Redfern!
