Jacko brings with him a wealth of rugby experience, ranging from playing to coaching at the highest levels - including at County, with the Army and with Premiership club academies/DPP's at Harlequins and London Irish.

Speaking about his appointment as DoR, Jacko said:

"I am excited to announce a new chapter as Director of Rugby at Alton RFC.

After 25 years in the British Army, leading teams in some of the toughest environments, I’m now turning full focus to grassroots rugby – where character, connection, and community matter most.

From coaching the Army Women’s team, county adults and age grade to working with academies like Harlequins and London Irish DPP, and building the women’s section at other clubs from scratch, my journey has always been about developing people first and players second.

Alton RFC has huge potential. I’m here to support players and coaches across all age grades, and help grow a rugby culture that values hard work, belonging, and smart, honest rugby.

I am really looking forward to getting stuck in!"
