A disappointing first half was followed by a determined second half.

The first half ended with Alton trailing by 31 points but at the end of the second half a much closer score was in place.

This was a perfect preseason game that saw players put their hands up for inclusion in the first team squad for the up coming league season. In addition it was very good to see that over 70% of the team were under the age of 20 which indicates that the future for Alton is very positive.
