A fantastic effort by U8s at Trojans Festival

After an early start to get a good parking spot, the Alton U8’s put in a fantastic effort on a windy day down at Eastleigh Trojans, narrowly losing 6-4 to a strong home side in the first game. A win over Winchester followed, briefly interrupted by Winchester’s tent taking off! An amazing first half against Basingstoke in the third game saw the team race into a 5-0 lead, before being pegged back in the second half, but holding on to win the game. Back to back final games of the day saw a narrow defeat to Overton, and a frenetic finish against Gosport & Fareham which Alton just edged.
