In sharp contrast to last week, Alton U9's arrived at Trojans greeted with glorious bright blue Autumn sky and sunshine. They put on a dazzling performance from start to finish.

First up were the hosts who came up against 7 hungry Altonians. Cameron White opened the scoring for Alton with a smartly finished off team try. This clearly gave the boys great confidence as they quickly turned the ball over from the restart resulting in another score. De Villiers Naude led from the front, reading the game well and making suffocating one on one tackles restricting Trojan's progress. Alton's smart defence was too strong and they won 8-2.

Next came New Milton - a much larger, better drilled unit than Trojans and a challenge that Alton rose to. NM running was hard and so was Alton's defence. Alton quickly realised they couldn't let NM players get up ahead of steam and were quick to get in their faces. Sam Wey and Rory White were everywhere - covering every blade of grass to make impressive tackles for the team. Zach Hayward, Oscar Thirwall & James Greenman were quick to follow up, driving the NM players backwards. In an extremely close, very well contested game NM (somehow) finished winners (6-5).

After an hour of picking mud from each other's boots (and shoulder massaging) Alton were up against Petersfield. Despite some really nippy players on their side Alton worked hard as a team with some great tackling by Ned Bowden, Henry Barttelot and Harry Gray. Alton won 10 tries to 6. This was a fantastic game and they went straight into their final game against Gosport and Fareham with as much enthusiasm as they had at the start of the day. An amazing 9-3 victory to Alton saw them thrash G&F - some incredible team work throughout.
