Alton fielded a squad of 22 to face local rivals Petersfield in a friendly before next weeks return to league action against Trojans at Anstey park. The game presented an opportunity to try a number of new combinations and to give the squad an opportunity to put their hand up for a place in next weeks league 23.
The score was reflective of an open game, which at times lacked the control and composure that will be needed next week. It was also great to see a number of the LWC boys in attendance having had no rugby games this week. Some stand out performances from Harvey and Beadle in the pack and some crazy play too by some. Archie check the Laws!!!!!!
Next week the squad face Trojans in the league. This will be a much tougher test and one the squad is looking forwards to.
