Alton U13 girls play in their first Xrugby 7s tournament

The first of three Xrugby 7s tournaments was held today at Petersfield on Sunday 24th February. A variety of teams linked together to ensure clubs without a full team could also take part. Our girls linked up with some of the Havant players. They played 3 games against Bognor, Basingstoke and Ellingham and Ringwood. It was a bruising encouter against a bigger and stronger Basingstoke, where heads dropped a little but they then showed reilience to come back and keep playing. Some even opted to play an extra game at the end for Ellingham and Ringwood. Everyone played every minute as we were a bit short of players so if there are any year 7 or 8s out there who fancy giving it a go why not come along on a Tueday evening at 6 pm.
